A Valentine Party

For Valentine's Day I took the girls down to the One Room Schoolhouse for a little party.  They were so excited to go see their friends at the school. We arrived right after lunch and the fun began.  It started with Mrs. Castro setting them up to write a joint story.  It was quite the Valentine's tale!  (If you want to read the story, click on the picture and it should come up larger for you!)

While they were working on the story, they took turns going to the other room and putting their Valentine's into everyone's boxes.  After everyone was done and the story hit the end, they all got to go see what was in their Valentine's boxes.  They had so much stuff, all the boxes were overfilled!

After everyone settled down a little bit from the excitement of looking at all of their goodies, Mrs. Castro had another fun game planned for the kid's.  They played Musical Hearts!  Everyone had a great time with this game.  Even if they got out right away, they all continued to cheer and dance along to the music while the others were still in the game.

After the game was over, the kids had a cookie that the girls had made for Valentine's Day and then we got ready to go home.  We still had Lydia's birthday to celebrate and the school kids needed to get ready for the bus.  It was a great time for my girls and once again we have to thank the kids and teachers at the One Room Schoolhouse for another great get together!
